ABOUT EVENT

2020 EMC+SIPI OFFERS VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

Why Attend the Virtual Symposium?

  • The Clayton R. Paul Global University will host 10 interactive lectures from July 28 – 30.
  • A program of more than 25 workshops and tutorials covering EMC, Signal Integrity, and Power Integrity will run in the mornings (USA Central Time) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from August 4 – 20, with an opportunity to ask the speakers questions.
  • A program of over 170 peer-reviewed technical papers will be presented in the afternoons (USA Central Time) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from August 4 – 20, with an opportunity to ask the speakers questions.
  • The workshops, tutorials, and technical papers will be available overnight (USA Central Time) to enable better access for colleagues for whom presentations delivered in USA Central Time are difficult to attend.
  • Our technical meetings (including our 14 Technical and Special Committees and an extensive program of Standards Working and Continuity Groups) will take place on Mondays, August 3, 10, and 17, and Fridays, August 7, 14, and 21. The entire week of August 24-28 will feature the technical meetings and special events, such as the Awards Ceremony, IBIS Forum and more!
  • The extended schedule helps our virtual attendees manage their work, home, and symposium schedules while also providing the opportunity to attend more sessions and technical meetings than would be possible at an in-person conference. Recordings will be available on-demand through September 30, 2020.
  • The technical exhibition is an integral ingredient in our symposium and gives exhibitors the opportunity to interact with attendees. We are looking to our sponsors to provide the materials and education we all gain so much from when visiting their booths.
  • To reflect the challenges presented by COVID-19, registration fees for technical program access will be heavily discounted. Free “guest” passes will be available for those interested only in attending technical meetings (e.g. Technical Committees, Standards Working Groups) and accessing sponsor materials. A group discount is available for ten registrations from one organization.

    Over 170 TECHNICAL PAPERS

High quality, peer reviewed papers will be presented during the Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday technical sessions held from August 4-20. Papers will be presented in a 25-minute pre-recorded oral briefing with charts. The paper will be published in the Symposium proceedings that will be provided to all full registrants. Symposium proceedings will be submitted for posting to IEEE Xplore. In addition, authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their symposium paper for possible publication in a special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility (excludes Abstract Reviewed Papers). The Technical Papers and Special Sessions presentations will be organized according to technical topic areas associated with the IEEE EMC Society Technical Committees.

A vast variety of EMC and SIPI technical content is planned for the 2020 EMC+SIPI Virtual Symposium.
*Please note that the schedule is preliminary and subject to change.

REVIEW THE BROAD SPECTRUM OF TOPICS THAT WILL BE PRESENTED BY THE EMC AND SIPI BEST PAPER FINALISTS

    ABSTRACT REVIEWED PAPERS

On behalf of the technical program committee, we would like to continue an exciting technical program element for EMC+SIPI engineers and researchers: Abstract Reviewed Papers. Abstract Reviewed Papers can provide unique opportunities to socialize among EMC+SIPI engineers and researchers within the renowned IEEE symposium environment and to exchange experiences and ideas. We firmly believe that this special program will help us build a professional community that benefits not only the development of the technologies but also the members’ professional careers. We also hope that this special program will lead us to reduce ever increasing gaps between rapidly changing modern electronic industry, computational analyses, and traditional IEEE conferences.
